Main Bathroom – Done with Tile!

by Meghan on September 23, 2012

We finished the tile in the main bathroom this weekend! It still needs to be grouted, but the tile is installed and that’s another huge project that we can check off of our list!

Main Bathroom – A Work in Progress

by Meghan on September 9, 2012

We started putting tiles on the wall on Saturday, and after maaannnnyyyy hours, got about 1/3 of the way done.

So today we got started on the glass accent tiles, which will eventually wrap around the entire bathroom.

So excited to see how it looks when we’re further along!

Front Porch Progress

July 30, 2012

When we bought the house last year, the entry way looked like this: To say it needed some work (and updating) is a bit of an understatement. When we were talking about replacing the front door, we knew we wanted a door with a sidelight. DJ was opposed to getting a door with a single [...]

Curb Appeal…Almost

July 10, 2012

Well, we’ve come a long way over the past few months. The bedrooms, bathroom and hallway are all painted and there’s tile in the master bathroom. But we’ll get to that stuff later. Because the outside of the house has been stuccoed, and it looks amazing!   The mailbox, from Pottery Barn, is quite possibly [...]

Still Going Strong

April 25, 2012

I haven’t updated recently, but don’t take that to mean we haven’t been busy! There’s been a lot going on, but nothing that’s super interesting or exciting. Dylan’s Bedroom – In the Works

February 19, 2012

Dylan’s bedroom is proving to be a bit more difficult to nail down than Zachary’s. (Construction pun totally intended.) He’s had vintage sports bedding from Pottery Barn Kids since before he was born, so I’ve been very hopeful that he’d want to stick with it. Not only because it’s easy and cheap*, but because I’m [...]

A Reminder From The Past

February 15, 2012

It was tucked away in the wall, safely hidden for almost 50 years. Browned, water stained, and brittle, it was the real estate section of the local paper, dated July 29, 1965. While it was certainly interesting to look through, it was also depressing as all get out. Houses that would now sell for around [...]

Zachary’s Bedroom – In The Works

February 7, 2012

Now that things are (hopefully) starting to move along, I find myself putting a little more thought into what exactly we’re going to do for the kid’s bedrooms. My main focus has been Zach’s room, because long ago we made one key decision on something “fun” to put in it, and that has at least [...]

Kitchen Windows

February 4, 2012

We switched out the kitchen windows today. The kitchen isn’t currently under renovation, but we have to redo so much stucco on the front of the house, we figured it would make sense to do the windows now. It got dark as we were finishing, so I don’t have a real finished photo, but this [...]
